Membership



Along with the English Women’s Golf Association the aim of Dorset Ladies County Golf Association is to promote Ladies golf within the county of Dorset.

Anyone who is a member of an affiliated club is entitled to membership of the Dorset Ladies County Golf Association.

As from this year (2008) EWGA will be collecting our County Subscriptions along with their Subscriptions from each club/member in Dorset. These will then be passed onto our County Association.
A breakdown of these costs which are included in you Club membership fees and sent to EWGA on your behalf by your club
should be shown in your membership renewal information.

Subscriptions for 2009
EWGA : £10.65* is payable for each member and £8.15 for each  junior member. Plus £15.00 for each Ladies Section.     (*includes £2.50 LGU levy)

County: £7.00 for members and junior members alike.

Affiliation

All clubs in Dorset affiliated to EWGA are eligible to be members of the Association on payment of the annual subscription fees. The payment of this levy entitles playing members of affiliated clubs to County Membership as either:

Full Members Eligible to play in all County Competitions including the County Championships and the County Teams.

Associate Members Those who are full members of another County Association may play in all County Competitions apart from the County Championships and County Teams.

[It is the responsibility of the player to ensure that she is a Full Member of only one County Association and to inform those Counties accordingly.]

Organising County Championships
Selecting and training County Teams
Coaching and developing junior players.
Organising Junior County Championships
Offering advice on the Rules of Golf and Handicapping.
